Air cooled chillers


Air cooled chillers heat ambient air using axial or centrifugal fans. Chillers with centrifugal fans are installed inside the building, and the air that cools a condenser is discharged into the duct. Chillers with axial fans are installed, as a rule, outside the building.

Equipment

YLCA-YLHA Ecofrio

The YCSA/YCSA-H units are high-performance air-water water chillers and heat pumps using R-410A ecological refrigerant.

These units are designed for air conditioning or industrial applications that require cold or hot water. They are silent and compact units, equipped with vertical air discharge axial fans, that can be installed directly outdoors. They are available in two versions: with and without a hydro kit, which includes a buffer tank and a high head pressure pump.

The control system of these units is a specially programmed electronic controller to be used on air-water water chillers and heat pumps equipped with two compressor tandems.

Easy to use and safe, this system precision controls the water temperature of the installation, carries out defrost cycles, modulates fan speeds and controls compressor, pump and electric heater start-ups. By reading the control probes and safety elements, the controller protects the entire unit against malfunctions. The system allows connecting the unit to a standard RS485 monitoring network.

The YCSA/YCSA-H units are made of proven quality components and manufactured in compliance with standards in force (ISO 9001 certification).


YCSA Ecofrio

YLCC

The YLCC water chillers and YLCC-H heat pumps are supplied factory-assembled and with all refrigerant piping and interconnecting wiring ready for installation at the job site. After assembly, the water chillers go through a water test. Possible leaks are also checked once the refrigerant is charged.

The units are made of galvanized steel with anticorrosive nuts and bolts. The panels can be removed for access to internal components. The outer galvanized steel parts are painted with oven-dried enamel (RAL 9002).

Throughout the manufacturing process, all our products follow a quality control process in accordance with the ISO 9001 standard, which is also demanded from the acquired components. The PED pressure equipment directive is also applied.

The water chillers or air-water type heat pumps are designed to be installed in air conditioning systems or industrial processes that require cold (or hot) water or water with glycol. Designed for indoor installation.


YLAE Tempo

Tempo is a fully packaged air-cooled liquid chiller, with scroll compressors, designed to be located outside on the roof of a building or at ground level.

There are two levels of operating efficiency:
  • Standard Efficiency SE models
  • High Efficiency HE models
The incorporation of multiple scroll compressors results in high full and part load efficiencies. As each compressor represents a cooling capacity step there is no efficiency reduction when the chiller operates at part load. As the cooling capacity demand falls the available condenser surface increases, in comparison to the load demand, and therefore the part load efficiency exceeds the full load effi ciency.


YCIV Symphony

YCIV is a fully packaged air cooled liquid chiller with inverter driven screw compressors designed to be located outside on the roof of a building or at ground level.

There are two levels of operating efficiency:
  • Standard Efficiency SE models
  • High Efficiency HE models
The incorporation of variable compressor speed technology, flash tank economisers, electronic expansion valves and Optimised capacity control results in exceptionally high full load (Efficiency class A) and part load Energy Efficiency Ratios and economical operating costs year round. Further reductions in operating cost may be realised from the high 0.95 power factor that is maintained throughout the chillers entire operating range.

The YCIV LS chiller has been specifi cally designed for low sound operation, to satisfy the needs of various locations, by positioning noise emitting components together in one location and enclosing them in an acoustically treated chamber. Two speed fans are incorporated, that automatically operate at a quiet low speed as ambient temperatures reduce during the evening and at night.
