Close control (precision) Air Conditioners
Close control air conditioners are designed for 24-hour year-round support of necessary air parameters in the room. Such air conditioners are successfully used in museums, laboratories i.e. in the sphere of high-technology production.
Close control air conditioners possess much more possibilities in comparison with standard ones. They are able to control air temperature to within + 1ºC, air humidity – to within 2%. They are characterized by a high level of reliability with continuous operation, ability to work with wide range of ambient temperatures, full compatibility with building automation systems (BAS). A great number of options are available to each air conditioner.

Close control modular units DA/FA

The Close Control Modular range is comprised of 4 module sizes providing nominal capacities of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 & 40 kW per module. These modules form the basis of the EDPAC modular concept. Unit selections can be based on a single module for a single circuit system or any combination of 2 modules to give a Twin Circuit or Duplex system. The Duplex configuration is advantageous as both modules can be positioned at different locations within the room. This allows for quick and simple room upgrades with minimum disruption. Units are available in Upflow and Downflow configurations with top, bottom, front and rear return options. Cooling media available are direct expansion using air or water/glycol and chilled water. An additional ECX free cooling coil can be provided on direct expansion type units. This ECX coil will result in significant energy saving by providing free cooling in low outdoor ambient conditions with greatly reduced compressor run time. As standard the Modular Range Units are equipped with: Scroll Compressors, Electrode Steam Boiler Humidifiers, Stainless Steel Tubular Finned Electric Reheat, EU4 Filtration, Belt Driven forward curved Centrifugal Fans, R407C Refrigerant and the latest Delta range of microprocessor controllers which can interface with most BMS/BAS Systems.

Close Control Twin Circuit Air Cooled Range FТA/DТA

The Close Control Twin Circuit range comprises 3 sizes providing nominal capacities of 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 & 80 in 10kW increments. Units are twin circuit in a single frame and are available in Upflow and Downflow configurations with top, bottom, front and rear return options. As standard the Twin Circuit Air Cooled range units are equipped with: Scroll Compressors, Electrode Steam Boiler Humidifiers, Stainless Steel Tubular Finned Electric Reheat Elements, EU4 Filtration, belt driven forward curved Centrifugal Fans, R407C Refrigerant and the latest Delta range of microprocessor controllers which have a full Windows networking capability. All units have built in pressure activated fan speed control as standard and all air cooled condensers are single split circuit for 30 & 35°C ambient while two number condensers are utilised for 40 & 45°C ambient, 1 per refrigerant circuit. Cooling media available is air cooled direct expansion only.

Close Control DCS-FCS Chilled Water Range DCS/FCS

The DCS/FCS range of Close Control Chilled Water units comprises 3 sizes providing nominal capacities of 60, 80 & 100 kW. Units are available in Upflow and Downflow configurations with top, bottom, front and rear return options. The range of units is ideal for very large data centre applications where Air Cooled or Water/Glycol Cooled Units would be impractical due to the size of the building close control cooling load. As standard the DCS/FCS range of Close Control Chilled Water units are equipped with: high SHR Cooling Coils, EU4 Filtration, 3 Port Control Valve with bypass DRV, Twin Belt driven forward curved Centrifugal Fans, Water Leak Detection, Autosequence/Autorotate, Volt Free Contacts for unit status, Common Alarm, Remote Start Stop and the latest Delta range of DIN rail mounted Microprocessor Controllers which have optional built in Modbus & Bacnet communications. Options available include: Humidifier, Electric Rreheat, 3 Way Discharge Plenums, Graphic Display, Drain Trap, Smoke Detection, Fire Detection, Floorstand, loss of Chilled Water Flow Switch and Condensate Pump.

The Close Control Plug Fan Range of Air Cooled Direct Expansion units are precision environmental control units designed for 24 hour, year-round use. The unit simultaneously controls air temperature, air humidity, air distribution and air cleanliness in the conditioned space. It is fitted with a central microprocessor controller which monitors air temperature/humidity and air cleanliness and ensures accurate stepped response to room load changes. To maximise energy efficiency, all units are fitted with wide surface area coils, compliant scroll compressors and backward curved radial fans. Sound levels are kept to a minimum with double skin panels (optional), a unique wide area air chamber, coil mounted filtration and fully isolated compressor compartment. All major components are fully serviceable from the front.
